Hi everyone,
This is Ska Jeff, and I assume by now everyone knows that I have left Critical Convictions. Why? I'm just not feeling it anymore. Straight up.
I love CC to death and had a blast these past two years. I remember our first show at Cathcart St on January 12th, 2007. It was a benefit show for Exile. Germ Attak and The Intruders among some played. I still retain how exhilarating it was to play with my new band. Being able to burst around the packed basement as people slam danced in excitement. Ever since that day, CC has taken me on a voyage. I got to meet some of the best people (Chief!) and traveled to places I've never been, like Newfoundland. I got to play multiple times with some of the best bands (and finest friends). The Castevets, Picked On, FATO, The Reprobates, Contagium, Bad Skin, Shits Weak, At Worst, Regiment, and Class War to name a few (check them all out if you haven't yet).
This was a very hard decision to make and to tell to my band mates, who are also my friends, room-mates and/or co-workers. My heart was in Critical Convictions but it just isn't there anymore. I can't keep doing something I'm not into. It's absolutely unfair to the others who are putting 100% into CC, when I'm only putting 50% into it.
Critical Convictions was a part of my life, and will always live in my soul.
