Hey all!
How can i even describe all that's happened? Well for starters, we had our annual 21 day fast this year! In those 3 weeks, major doors were opened. First of all I auditioned for a showcase/contest not too long ago. The top three winners got to open for a PFR concert. I ended up making it, and making some divine connections in the process. Before the competition, I prayed for 5 things:
1. The right people to win
2. A new and fresh anointing on my life
3. For the Holy Spirit to coat my voice with His anointing
4. To have the opportunity to open for the concert
5. His will, not mine, be done
So I sang at the showcase, and I felt great. I was nervous about the results and I told God that. I prayed that He would be with the judges. And I heard Him say "Wait. Trust me." I ended up not winning. However, a girl I met named Destinee did, and she won recording time. Turns out I didn't need that prize, and she did. Prayer 1, check. Walking out, a lady stopped me and said she could tell I was a christian when i started singing because she felt God's anointing on my voice. #3, check. So even though i was disapointed, I felt that my prayers were answered, and I accepted that it was His will.
Then Sunday I helped lead worship at a church. When we were done singing, the guest speaker, Joseph Garlington, called me up. He said he wanted to pass his anointing on me. ME! I was speechless! He wanted to pass his torch to me. Now, he's been all over the world touching lives and he passed that anointing to me. His wife prophesied over me and told me not to worry about what other people think. I thought immediately about the judges. Can you believe that? a new anointing? CHECK!
The day after that, the main girl that ran the whole showcase and was doing the concert called. She said that the judges did love me and they made a tough call. But she said that she still wanted me to open for the concert!! I was speechless! Number 4, Check! Overall, God's will was done majorly! It wasn't how I pictured it at all, but that's what I love about Him. Number 5, check!! :p
The concert was amazing, and I met some awesome people. I made connections and in the process of it all made great friends. I also found out about Chicks with Pics, and I started booking gigs with them! God really is here with me. That's what it's all about! I'm amazingly blessed! :p
