I have an okay job, a loving family, and everything I need. However, I still get on stage. Why do I do it? It's not the rush, glamor, cash, or hoes. I do it because something inside of me isn't right unless I'm doing it.

So I ask, Why do you do it comedians?

Stand-up for me, has always been a way to share my slant on the world with others.

When comedy is done right it has the same power as protest music in the sixties or the bite that punk had in the seventies.

It is a skill: timing, charisma, and the courage to actually use your voice to generate real emotions from an audience.

It's one of the last bastions of self expression left in the world today.

Lastly it's fun, even when you fall on your ass, if the loves there you'll be back night after night because there's nothing else in the world like it.
