Today's musical performances at the Presidential Inaguration reflect the amazing diversity of American Culture. The main music used as background was historic military music featuring the US Military Band. Guest spots were filled by Aretha Franklin who sang "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" and a classical quartet featuring Itzak Perlman and Yo Yo Ma. The Army Chorus sang the National Anthem at the end. The huge mix of types of music and differences in the study required to perform at an event of this magnitude show the interwoven fabric of American Culture. We have so many great performers, composers, and stars in this country that we have to be careful not to take it all for granted. Stevie Wonder, Springsteen, Herbie Hancock and others performed the night before. Music is our greatest cultural expression and art our best export. It was a big day in history. Work on your music, and take it to the next level! Rob Mullins
