So. Once again I find myself awake and unable to sleep, so I figure it's time for another round of complete opinion, and useless updates for those who could care less. Thanks for being here. Before I begin, i'll have you know that since Sunday I have been smoke free, so if I come off a bit "rough", SO WHAT!!! I have a really good excuse......this time. Proceeding.
I have been working non-stop on these projects, and everything is coming along nicely. I had a few seriously scary months, but I am glad to say that I am walking away from the wreckage a changed man. Okay, changed may be the wrong word. Let's just say that I have regained focus, and I can remember everything that happened the night before. I know what you're thinking, you judgmental bastards, but I assure you it has nothing to do with any of that. I was a functional drunk, remember? Life just took a turn for me, and I was totally unprepared for it (as usual), and had to suck it up, but only after I destroyed some shit first. My mother would be so proud. So, all of that is behind me now, and things are looking brighter than ever. Music is going well. I told myself that I was not going to discuss any of it though, so sorry. Just know that I/we are hard at work. (Equal just informed me that I have been working on this song for so long that I am suffering from psychosis now. I am seriously hearing things that are not happening in the song......see what we go through for you guys).
I recently moved, and things are really cool where I am. I lived at my last place for 3 years, which is the longest I have ever lived anywhere besides my parents when I was a kid, so this is a huge change for me. One for the better though. I have a new thing I am doing called "Manic Mondays". Basically I set a goal for the week starting on each Monday, and try to do it for that week without skipping or falling off. It's pretty awesome actually because it's just a week. If you can't do, or not do something for a week, you basically suck. This week was smoking. Next week is meat, but remember....it's only for a week. If I don't like it, I move the hell on. It's a simple way for me to try new shit out, and see how far I can push myself. Now I know what you're thinking again. "It's just eating meat and not smoking", but WRONG, it's way more than that. For each thing I give up, I replace it with something else.....for that week. Like working out (running in particular because I fucking hate to run), or doing an hour of french lessons online. Shit is productive if you ask me. In six months, hide your ladies cause I will be buff, sober(ish), and speaking a sexy ass language!! I already have a bit of Norwegian under my belt, so watch out!!
It's good to be back. I am off to lose my mind a bit more....aka "work on this fucking beat for Sadistik".
