We drove most of the day but by night decided to improve our camping skills. We went to K-mart and bought a 25 dollar tent and some foam mats. We drove a bit longer until we were in the mountains. it was truly beautiful and filled with wilderness. We found these amazing campgrounds that were on the shore of a rapid flowing river and fell in love. We left for a bit to go buy some delicious food. The place was desolate. We stopped at a flea market that was filled with confederate flags and old rusty farm tools. The only place to buy food was this gross little gas station. We bought bread, tuna, and mayonaise. I hope you all cringed while reading that. The worst part of the night was when we went back to our beautiful campground and were told we needed to register and that the registry office was closed. Searcching for ideas we drove a bit. We found another campground that had a sign spelt "Kampground". We thought it was some clever marketing thing but upon meeting the owner we realized elsewise. This place was a dump that overlooked a highway. Another horrible camping night. We woke up early and headed for Columbia, SC. We didn't want to miss the game.
