I want to post something about this to keep record if it is true. I believe there is a spirit trying to contact me through my front porch light. either that, or my light is psycic. Whatever is going on, there is definatly something paranormal going on in my house. I moved into this house when I got to Branson Colorado back in October.
In early February, I want to say it was the 9th, I noticed the front porch light acting strange. I got home from work, and noticed it wasn't turning on when I got in range of it. This is strange since the light is very sensitive, and has been known to turn on when rabbits cross our yard. When it turns on, it stays on for about 2 minutes, then goes back into standby. I walked up to the porch, and it turned on. By the time I got inside, it was off again. I looked at it through the door, and noticed it turn on again, stay on for about 10 seconds and
turn off. It did this for close to 10 minutes. I tried several things to make it stop. I went outside, while it was off, and it didn't trigger, I turned it off at the switch, when I do that, it automaticlly turns on for a cycle, but when i flipped it back on, it stayed off, then continued the cycle. I checked other lights and outlets in the house, I looked across the street to see if maybe someone was shooting a laser at it, or something. I looked for anything that could trigger it in the yard and porch. I even cleaned the sensor. Finally I gave up, and
decided to just wait it out to see when it stopped.
I remembered stories my grandma used to tell me when I was younger, that spirits sometimes try to contact people through lights, or other technology. One of my cousins died of an unknown heart condition back in 1998 and my aunt recieved a strange phone call from his then cancelled cell phone number, where all it would do was use dialtones to talk to her. A great uncle of mine died in a farming accident, and my great Grandma said afterwards, something kept ringing her doorbell.
Six days after the light incident on a clear Sunday morning, some friends of ours were going to church, and they got into a rollover accident. One of their children, Christian was killed. We all grieved, and I mildly considered if this light was trying to forsee the accident. I tried several times to recreate the light, but I couldnt.
My wife and I are Paranormal Investigators, specializing in ghosts. We have tools used to detect ghosts, or other anomolies that can be explained. We have, among other tools, a gauss meter, which detects Electromagnetic anomolies. Usually if there is bad wiring, or something powered by electricity is going out, this meter will detect the problem. We didnt pick up anything strange with the meter, or any of our other tools.
Now the strange part happened. Over a month later, on March 19, I was cleaning house, and noticed the light was on. It was still early evening, and still bright out, so it caught my attention. I watched it, as it started blinking off and on again.
I did my testing again, and even pulled my ghost tools to take measurments. I called my wife to look at it, and she agreed it was strange. We didn't get any definitive answers from our measurments, and I tested the power in that part of the house.
I quipped to my wife, about the last time it happened, Chrisitian died, and I wondered who would die next. We went on with our weekend, and Spring break plans, and everything seemed to be good.
On Sunday, we left Colorado Springs for home. When we were leaving, I heard a news report of a
motorcycle accident that killed two people, and shut down a road. It wasn't on my way home, so I
didnt pay much attentoin to it.
The next day, the accident was all over the TV. But they didn't release any names. that night, we were watching the news, and saw a report about a candlelight vigil at the scene of the accident. There was a quick shot of the memorial, and plain as day, it was a picture of one of my friends. Mamo Alipio. I wasn't sure if it was her, so I rewinded the TV, and it even had her name. I called her mom, who confirmed it.
It was eerie with the similarities to both accidents. Both were people I was close to, both were car accidents, and closed casket funerals. I never got to see them past the last time I saw them. Both were young. And both were days after the light 'warned' me.
I am an Engineer, and a Paranormal Investigator, so in practicallity, I do not believe in coincidence, and i try to find a logical and scientific explenation for everything. I believe there is an explanation. I will however keep an eye on this light, if it is trying to prepare me, or even warn me of tragedy, I am going to keep investigating it. If anyone else would like to check it out, dont hesitate to contact me, I would be happy to have a second opinion. Hopefully next time, I will have a camcorder ready to capture it in action.
