'Demo'

One year after their first rate 7 song demo, The THUNDER BOYS are back with 3 more than just good new songs. No more direct punk rock in a RAMONES way like in their early days (excellent though), since the four Californian guys have gained in maturity and experience in this short time and that allows them to offer us better songs in which their main influences (The HEARTBREAKERS, The CRYBABYS, The JONESES, etc.) can be heard more distinctively without stifling their own creativity. This very young band has everything to make it if they show as mush enthusiasm and motivation in the future as they do now and if they keep on writing songs such as « Cant Stop Drinking Bout You », « Shes On Fire Tonight » (great song!) or Seductive Lady Luck », then I won't worry about the band's future. This band deserves more than a life ala Danny Zucko strutting in front of Sandy Olsson and if they do anything they can, then I'm sure that they can become more than college stars (even if making girls' eyes sparkle is a quite delicious hobby...) Like Tyla (one of their biggest Heroes), The THUNDER BOYS stand up, a bottle in the hand and a guitar in the other... a way of life that can be defensible. /Franckie
