New Jersey, indie rockers
Starfish h.q. then took the stage. Upbeat and brainy but broken and sporadic, their sometimes smashing, sometimes agonizing blend of art rock either meandered into a noisy mess or streaked into a colorful exhibition. With deep caverns and dramatic flourishes they certainly showed a knack for finding entrancing melodies. And with plenty of room for growth and experimentation, playing clubs like the Dragon’s Den is just the type of atmosphere they need to hone in their craft.
