Hi y'all!
Thought I'd better write something just to let you know things are still moving on the Newroom front, even if we are neglecting our Myspace page!

Things were busy on the run up to Christmas, but mostly life getting in the way of band. We managed to get some gigs in at The Bedford (Balham) and the Halfmoon Christmas Special where we thought we'd treat everyone to a jazzed up Carol for a bit of a laugh.
Sadly we had to pull out of the Vibe gig because I was ill with 'Man flu'.

People may have noticed the presence of two new people on stage with us at the last few of our gigs. These two are called in off the Newroom subs bench when available though they are becoming too much apart of the Newroom sound to be left out.

They are Pete on Guitar and Warren as our kind of 'musical odd job man' who plays a bit of keys or flute. Just to clear up with any football fans who may watch us: No, Warren isn't Arjen Robben, formely of Chelsea. They do look very similar, but trust me, 5 mins on the pitch with 'Waz' and it's clear...He's not Robben!! Haha, sorry matey:)

...New songs have been written and more being worked on. They are a bit darker and faster. Just right for Spring/Summer when we should have finished recording them!:)
I'm loving the sound of them so far. We are approaching writing a bit differently and think we are sounding better because of it!

I'm really up for playing everywhere this year. If anyone wants to suggest places (whether full band or small acoustic sets) let me know.
