CC RIDER SF is pleased to present Dunngin Days, a new series of 27 paintings by M. Ross Luebe, on view from March 5 to March 31, 2009.
Dunngin Days is a mix of multicolored, geometric-abstract paintings that explore imagined landscapes and color theory. Inspired by the writings of Josef Albers, Luebe attempts to strain the visual spectrum of popping colors and muted space. Diagramed mountains mingle with dissections of the earth while Luebe attempts to unravel the understanding of the modern existential man.
M. Ross Luebe was born in 1982 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2004 with a B.F.A. and he received his M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2008. His work has been included in exhibitions in small galleries in Chicago, Detroit, and San Francisco. Luebe currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
