An interesting quote I just read on Huff Post and thought...hmmm, you could replace the word 'medicine' with 'government' and continue: "GOVERNMENT has become a pig trough here," he said. "We took a wrong turn when PUBLIC SERVANTS stopped being PUBLIC SERVANTS and became businessmen." Then, I considered this one... "RADIO has become a pig trough here," he said. "We took a wrong turn when PROGRAMMERS stopped being PROGRAMMERS and became businessmen." This is fun AND depressing!! :-) Fill in the blanks and create your own example of capitalism run amok in the good, ol' US of A! The point is...business isn't inherently bad...but GREED is. Peace! so did they relate 'medicine' to 'pig trough' in the fact that actual pig troughs feeding pigs are so full of antibiotics that when we eat their Rx & steroid-induced flesh we also ingest said antibiotics to the point that we are now immune to these antibiotics, and yet incredibly susceptible to horrific diseases? i.e. mad cow, bird flu, swine flu, bacterial meningitis, and the list goes on.

They also very often genetically alter a chicken to have breasts so large that their poor little legs won't even hold them up. Then they clone this poor wretched beast and feed them to us.

And with all of these steroids and hormones in our food, our poor little girls onset of menarche is occurring earlier and earlier, which is why an 11 year old now looks 16 or 17.

And produce does not escape this either. Did you know that they patent seeds now so that farmers can't clean and re-use their own seeds? they have to use genetically altered seeds patented by and purchased from Monsanto or some other big bastardized company. And they are suing the last dregs of real farmers left too that won't agree to the indentured servitude offered by companies like Monsanto. Those little bastards. Or big bastards I suppose I should say.


So I will add:
We took a wrong turn when FARMERS stopped being FARMERS and and became businessmen.

these are the bastards that are actually the main people profiting from the malaise of both the health care and food industry. and all the while forcing national decisions that lead to long term poorer health outcomes for all of us. and they have tricked us into paying for that. Fucking hegemonic domination!

Anyway, TN gets like $15.6 mil back. I hope now that the poor people who suffered from this off label use of these drugs sues for damages as well. One big class action suit might just end this stranglehold the Rx industry has on America. That would be one hell of a butterfly flapping it's wings.
