I have found that in coaching sport and other activities that alot of coaches and teachers are becoming too afraid of being accused of abuse and in some cases too afraid to help children in need of help because of policies or regulations where the teachers or coaches are almost rendered helpless and it goes the other way where a child is harmed because of anti abuse rules and regulations or even fear of these rules.

I think this is a serious issue because in some situations a child could get hurt or the teacher or coach can be prosecuted under abuse acts, as a rugby coach myself i find it difficult because of it being such a physical game and some demonstrations and aspects of the game are physical in themselves. i was just wondering what your views are on this subject if you have any.

 

It will result in camera's being stalled and although an invasion of privacy, its going to be the ONLY way to know whats going on in schools, taxi's, doctors, toilets and so on. Who is right and who is wrong? Its sad that its so easy to accuse someone of "Touching them". I also believe that those that do lie SHOULD be punished which sadly if they DO ever find themselves in a situation of abuse, no one will probably believe them... Its sad that humans are so deceptive. So nasty and selfish and cruel to ALL living beings. ..
....Also my mate has 3 boys and you find your self being extra cautious and paranoid. When I was young, my god mum used to walk around naked in the morning around us kids. NOW? damn if that happened now, she would be accused of all sorts by narrow minded people. The sad thing is, things will ONLY get worse, like as I stated, camera's! Everywhere...
