Unlike 2008's Recession EP, destined to remain as a backalley bootleg, the debut single from the Out Last Knights - the effervescent double A-side Lock Me Up/The Mundanities - is now available for purchase. If you're computerly minded (or just lazy), you can download it from the myspace for the princessly sum of €1 per chewin', thanks to our friends at downloadmusic.ie. Don't be scared off by having to send what looks like a premium rate text - 'tis easy and you won't be put on any porn addict direct marketing database (that you aren't already on). If you have the legs for it and live in the big shmoke, you can stroll down town and pick it up in Tower Records or Road Records. The single became launched on Friday 1st May last in Radio City, Dublin. Held in conjunction with GIGabyte, it was a roaring and rollicking success, followed by much in the way of excess. Before the arrival of the medieval giants of rock, the crowd were well warmed up by the up-for-it and sonically pleasing Resotones and Eskies. When the time was nigh, those in attendance were treated to a sevensongset of joy, warmth and scarves by everybody's favourite non-denominational crusaders. The gig was filmed by GIGabyte, and a titillating clip of its stomping closure can be garnered on the myspace page, as can the review by Guerilla.

Quite a way to kick off the summer. Buoyed by the success thus far, the Knights are already planning some more recording, as well as bringing a bit of light entertainment to the goode people of Limericke, Corke and Galwaye. Watch this (my)space.
