Big thanks to all the venues and friends who made this weekend a blast:
On Saturday we hit our favorite Fells Point bar, 1919, for a heckuva show with lots of new friends and plenty of old ones--many of whom there to wish our Smilin' Jon and his new bride the best! Thanks Sally, John and Dwight for another awesome time at your spot--we'll see ya February 7th and do it again!
Sunday we headed to The Flying Fish in Old Town Alexandria, VA to kick off the inaugural Rockabilly Sundays courtesy of the awesome Rev. Franke Death. Note to Old Town: y'all sure know how to get down on a Sunday--lots of new friends! We had the honor of having John Bozarth of The Droptops and The Garnet Hearts helping us out on drums, and he did a fantastic job. A special nod to our man Matt for doing the musical chair thing and banging the skins while John sang/played bass, to the Duchess for joining us on some smoking honky tonk numbers, new friend Kat who came up for a number, and our Gal Justina, who owes Andrew another spin on the dancefloor. Your Brokedown Playboys head back Sunday February 8th for the second in the series--Thanks good Reverend Death and Flying Fish for a hot time!
Up next we're headed back to the Palace of Wonders for Rockabilly Creature Feature this Friday, January 23rd. We'll be joined by Baltimore Burlesque beauties Sable Sin Cyr and Golden Browne for what will absolutely be a wild one. We've got some great stuff happening with our dancers, and the Palace is always a fantastic time--don't miss this one!
