The Glaciers - The Moonlight Never Misses an Appointment (Eskimo Kiss Records) "Delicate but textured country pop from these former Mendoza Line alumni. While the songs themselves -centered around the vocals of Jackie Linge, (imagine Beth Orton if she grew up in Nashville) sound initially understated, listen carefully and you find all manner of layers and textures applied by guitarist/producer Ian Stynes and a stream of musical guests. "Railroad" starts off with some nice pedal guitar and "you going to be leaving me" lyrics but the highlight is the wistful "Habit to Break" which sounds like it could have come off the Magnolia soundtrack. Sweet."
