in the studio-oh

Writing to you live and direct from the Dame Blanche recording studios in Etterbeek, a nice and clean if lethally boring borough in Brussels. We've just finished recording the drum tracks for the next Naifu album. Things went pretty well, except for what seemed to be a hard disc crash, on the disc containing everything we'd recorded! But luckily it was a false alarm. We also had two nice picknicks in a nearby sunny and quiet garden, which is really cool when otherwise you're locked up in the dark all day.

Right now my fellow band members are trying to finish one of the songs completely (though it's called 'Unfinished Song', so it might turn out a bit of a difficult thing to do...).

*edit* in the end they decided to do "Melinda" and while there was a truly GIANT spider climbing up the stairs Raphael did 837 extra guitar parts and after that Dominique did the vocals in (almost) one take! Well done!

And France-Marie is going to have a boy - jeuj!


may 2007: indeed France-Marie had a boy, Gabriel. we've just finished recording theremin parts and some backing vocals. now the mixing is under way...
