One of the nights that Vinnie Bronx was rehearsing this week, there was a phone call placed. Not to mention to the Omaha Police Dept. I felt like i was on stage as we were rocking and the red, white, & blue lights started flashing through the window. I closed my eyes. Then, i realized that i wasn't on stage. The boys smiled & stopped playing. They weren't smiling because we stopped playing (that was annoying). They were smiling because, the police were arriving. I went to the door not to find one... BUT two, police officers shining flash lights in my face. This was probably because i didn't have the porch light on. So, that didn't bother me. I was thinking (cool, the word is getting out fast. should i invite them in? do they want something to drink? hmmm? where are they going to sit or stand in our rehearsal area. you see, our rehearsal area in not real huge. and there's only a couple of places to sit. my chair at my desk. but, i would prefer if that wasn't the case. that's pretty much my spot, but i do let friends sit there. the couch? no, that's to close for comfort while rehearsing. oh GOD.. not on my bed. the last thing that i want on my bed is a police officer. well, wait a minute. did i tell you that one of the police officers was a woman. maybe she can, but, her friend will have to go. we normally get money, applause, & most importantly relation for this. while all of this is happening) this happens:
Police Officer M: There's been a noise complaint.

Police Officer F: The bass is to loud.

Nic: I'm sorry, you see it was warmer today than it has been in a long time, and i left my space heater on. And when you play you get really warm, so we opened the windows. This is the first time that we've opened the windows, and again i'm sorry about that.

Police Officer F: We got a phone call that somebody could hear the bass on their property, and we just came to let you know that you have to either stop or keep it down. (she smiled kindly. i noticed hand cuffs)

Police Officer M: Yea, if you could just close your windows and maybe turn it down a touch, it will probably be fine. he smiles.

Nic: ok. no problem. sorry, and it won't happen again.

Then both police officers smile and tell me to have a good night.

the point is. last night's rehearsal was not only a rehearsal. it was a free concert to all surrounding neighbors. it was from a second story. it was invaded by police. it was just a very interesting rehearsal, and i thought that i should share. have a great day.

We love you ALL!
Your Big Brother,
Vinnie

good work, fellas.  there's nothing like being hassled by "the man" (and wo-man) in the name of rock 'n roll.
