After going to the Snow College/Juilliard Jazz Workshop this summer I was inspired to become a good jazz pianist, like my new hero Benny Green (who was at the workshop and who is the most amazing musician I've ever seen).

I've been working really hard on becoming a jazz musician rather than playing this wussy alternative-pop that I was working on before.  I've seen the light, and it is jazz. 

That said, my songs are going to become decidedly more jazz/blues/Latin oriented and focused.  I'll occasionally write the occasional pop song because sometimes a sweet one just bursts out of my head, but more often I'm feeling the grooves of blues and jazz and their sweet chord changes and improvisations.  I'll work on doing everything from big band swing to piano trio stuff and I've already got some sweet ideas for new songs.
