Current mood:beach bum
Category: Blogging
The sun is slowly making it's way towards the horizon and it couldn't be a more lovely sight. I'm at my folks house here in Long Island and I was lucky enough to run into my friend Mauricio and his family who were visiting my mom and having a barbecue. Perfect timing for me ;)

I had a quiet late afternoon at the beach with my sis, niece and nephew. I use the excuse of being with them to act like a complete kid and not worry about looking like a dork. Okay, I probably still look like a dork, but that's okay, we all need a good dork moment from time to time.

On the subject of the beach, I thought I would ask tonight how many beach loving folks there are out there:
---------------------------------------
Are you a beach person?
---------------------------------------
The strange thing is that when I was younger, I wasn't all that crazy about the beach but in the last 5 years, I have become a beach addict. I don't go as often as I'd like but whenever I get the chance I like to go, even if it's at night. There's just something about the beach that is so peaceful that I can't get enough of it.

Hope you are all having a great weekend and I hope there are plenty of more suprises hidden away
much sandy love

p.s. Here's a pic of me and the cuteness of a button that is my niece, Micaela

I love the beach. Surfing, cliff jumping, bar-b-ques, and cruzin with family friends. Everything happens at the beach.

I'm a major beach lover - grew up in Wantagh near Jones Beach so can't imagine NOT being near the ocean! I go every chance I get - try the nude beach at Robert Moses near the Lighthouse, I was there on Friday, it's awesome!!

living in England we rarely have the right weather for the beach.. but love to go to the beach when on a Greek island especially .. not overly keen on swimming in the sea though

Your niece is adorable.  I understand how you feel about the beach.  I used to be a person who loves  the beach swimming in the ocean, just sitting on the sand, watching the sun go down by the Santa Monica pier, but I haven't been there in decades.  I live , not too far away. It's funny, I was thinking about this last night.  I miss it.  But it would just be too hard the way things are.

I love the beach used to live near Santa Cruz in California and I miss it so very much there is something about walking along the sand. It is so relaxing, and they had a really great Boardwalk there with an Amusement park. Check out some of my pics of the beaches at Santa Cruz. Oh yeah they have this amazing lighthouse there to that's where I want my ashes to be spread when I pass. I think that would be lovely someday.

I am new here and just came back to learn more about you. Love your sound and songs btw. I live on the beach on the northern NSW, east coast of Australia, my blood is salt water. Coincidentally, I just wrote a blog "A Charmed Life" about this very thing...says it all really. The beach to me is my life-force...there is no better place to be at peace.

Hmmm...Growing up a national of a country with some 2,000 odd teeny weeny islands (99% of which is the sea), I've gotta say I'm pretty partial (& biased) towards the beach myself But it's the whole sun, sea & sand combination that does it for me though! I'm an all or nothing kinda person I guess

I'm not much of an outdoor person.  I can't stand the bugs.  But if it was bug free, I'd love to get to know it better.
