Greetings my dear,

What a wild and crazy tour!  I've listed my own personal highlights below.  You can also read Donehoo's Tour Log at www.wallydogger.com/tourlog...htm or check out our Twitter blurbs at www.twitter.com/wallydogger

Unfortunately, the road is pretty stressful on a band.  We definitely bumped heads towards the end, which made us all step back and reevaluate what the hell we're doing.  I'm not exactly sure what's next for us. I do know the Taste of Chicago will be involved, and it could be our last show.  I'll have more info on this is upcoming weeks.  In the meantime, here's the awesomeness of the tour...

-
Coolest person to come to a show: Dave Chapelle in Yellow Springs, Ohio (yes, THAT Dave Chapelle).  He was only there for half a song, but it was still pretty amazing and surreal.
-
Favorite venue/city: Arelene's Grocery/NYC - so very, VERY cool.  Huey Lewis was spot on when he said there's "a half a million things to do at a quarter to three."  Arlene's was packed with people, the sound/house gear was amazing (I felt like we were Aerosmith walking on stage with such a pro setup) AND there were people, whom I've never met, singing the words  -- I don't think I've ever felt so cool in my life.  If you'd like to see how sweet Arlene's is, rent Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (you'll see the venue in the first 15 minutes).
-
Favorite food on tour: The Jaeger burger at the Thurman Cafe in Columbus, Ohio.  I'm not quite sure what was on this thing, maybe sauteed onions, mushrooms, sour cream, peppers...who knows, but it was delicious.  There's a couple pics of us pigging out on Donehoo's Tour Log.
-
Best bar (we didn't play at): Drinker's in Philly.  $1 Rolling Rocks, $2 shots of Jameson.  There's a bucket over the bar you throw quarters in.  If you make it, the whole bar gets a free shot.  A random old, drunk dude at the bar pulled his glass eye and dropped in on the floor.  He asked the bartender if he could help him find it, the bartender replied, "I'll keep an eye out for it, buddy!"
-
Best party pad: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot's crazy little house in Pittsburgh.  We played air guitar to the Commodores "Easy (Like Sunday Morning)," it was epic.
-
Randomest set: Dirty Jack's in Cincinnati.  We opened with "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen (a song that the band has never played before).  I also changed a lot of the words of our originals to mix it up.
-
Most intoxicating drink: The Diane's Ice Tead at Howler's in Pittsburgh.  See Donehoo's Tour Log about this, it literally floored him.
Best beer: Flying Dog Garde Dog in Yellow Springs.  A fine hippie beer for a great little hippie city.
-
Worst beer: Iron City Light in Pittsburgh.  I don't know what they put in this beer, but it is ROUGH.
-
Deepest cut: "Stop Giving a Fuck" in Cleveland.  We had a strange request for this by the dude in Uptight Sugar (the band we played with).  Apparently, he streams this song on Rhapsody, which is pretty cool (I didn't know anyone even used that program).
-
Coolest band we played with: The Sewing Circle.  AND we got to play with them 3 times.  They kick ass, check em out: www.myspace.com/thesewingcirclemusic

Anyway, there's a million other things I could ramble on about.  Hopefully, we'll have a video of the tour edited together soon.  Thanks so much to everyone who came out and helped us pretend like we're rockstars for 10 days.  I'll keep you posted on the happs with the band.  Whatever the case may be, I can assure you we're all going to keep making music.  Maybe not together and/or under this name, but there will be music.  Thanks so much for supporting, motivating and listening to us.  We always love to hear from you, send us a message or e-mail wallydogger@gmail.com

so much love,
~pauly

Actually the coolest person to attend was me. Yes, Chapelle was standing next to me, but I think I was the coolest. After all, I stayed for the whole show...
