The world has finally aligned and we managed to post three of the four songs that will be featured on the first EP to our myspace.

While we rejoiced, at The Lounge, with beers I faced our next major "new band" crisis.

How do we classify our music. What music genre is Giggle Party?

I always thought we had a "punk" sound but after interviewing people who have seen us no one has ever said we sound punk. Happy-- poppy-- fun--- but never punk.

Another friend mentioned that the new track sound like Architecture In Helsinki fronted by Atom & His Package.

I enjoy Architecture in Helsinki but never really thought Giggle Party sounded anything like them. I mean they do have a sorta spazz rock sound but musically they put together their songs in a way more structured indie rock sorta a way.

Atom & His Package everyone in Giggle Party loves. So I decided to do some research via Itunes.

On a side note-- may I suggest Math The Band for any Atom fans.

Most of Atom's work was classified as punk except for one album which had the odd genre title of "damage".

I like that. "Damage" is a good genre. I think Giggle Party will be of the genre "Damage".
