Ok, Outlaws, The Deadline is MAY 1st for REINSTATE HANK VIDEO ENTRIES. We've received some amazing ones. Thanks go to Triggerman (Kyle Coroneos) at SavingCountryMusic.com for his help in spreading the word. Below is part of a blog submitted earlier this year regarding the submissions, if you're unfamiliar with it. I also suggest reading The Internet Speaks For Hank Williams by Michael Ross in our LifeStyle Section... May 1st, folks....so get em in!!! Cheers, OM ---------- We are launching our new Media Channel that will feature concerts, interviews, and interactive VOX POP-voice of the people. We want to hear from people how they feel about certain issues.
It is no surprise that we believe in the Reinstate Hank Williams movement. We had such a response from people regarding the article that was run, about how Myspacers are raisin' hell and making noise, standing up to the Opry. The Opry's comment regarding the situation just added fuel to the fire.
We want to hear from all of you about this subject. This is exactly the core of what we at Outlaw Magazine are about. We are about rising up against the 'machine', and fighting for what you believe in. Artist Empowerment, People Empowerment.
We are accepting video submissions to play on our new media channel. These are the requirements:
State your name (you may omit your last name) and where you are from (city and state) in the video. Tell us how you feel about the Reinstate Hank Movement. Speak your truth on the matter.
NO MUSIC CAN BE ON THE VIDEO, due to copyright reasons.
Then load it up to Youtube. You can either message us on Myspace with the YOUTUBE URL (put VIDEO in the subject), or email us the URL at:
Info@Outlawmagazine.tv
(note: .tv is used in our email address, not .com)
Our digital gurus will then incorporate your video into a segment for the new Media Channel.
We want to hear from you. This magazine is for you, and about all of us.
If you have any questions, just ask.
From all of us at Outlaw Magazine, we wish you the very best for 2009. Let's make something happen!
The Outlaw Magazine Staff
"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things." — Jack Kerouac, On The Road.
"The spirit of the Outlaws is not only music, it is a way of life. It is the spirit of being a pioneer and adventurer and believing in a world of diversity. It is about growth, individuality and expansion instead of conformity." Brigitte London
