I just came out of the last session with Youth Pastor Andy Arguez. I am literally speechless (i lost my voice lol) and I don’t even know how to describe it.
Pastor Andy came on stage and immediatly began to worship God. He and the worship team sang a new song called “The Fire for His Holiness.” This song is simply the cry of our generation to be holy like God is holy! In just a couple of minutes the atmosphere was set and the people’s hearts were ready and expecting something different.
Pastor Andy titled his message “The Fire for His holiness.
The verse he started with…
“Isaiah 6:1-3 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train ortef his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
What’s glory? What’s holiness?
Before the glory of God can consume us, His fire of holiness must consume us.
Notice in this verse, before God talks about His glory, He mentions the word holy 3 times. Never in scripture does God say “I am love, love, love” or “I am joy, joy, joy.” If God is telling us he is 3 times holy, it’s because He wants us to pay attention to it.
So what is the glory of God? In summary the glory of God is the accumulation of all of God and hHis characteristics being poured out at one time.
If that is the glory, what is holiness? Holiness is to be consecrated, separated, dedicated for the exclusive use of God only. It is interesting that when you look up the word separate, it means to cut something off. For example, like cutting off a hand.”So when holiness comes into your life for real, baby it hurts.” Pastor stated. It is because you are cutting something off.
In the story of Jesus healing the demon-posessed man, when He casted the demons out of the man and into the pigs, the demons knew who Jesus was. The demons literally said, “Why are you coming to torment us oh holy Man of God.” This is why we need to raise up a holy generation!
5 principles of holiness
1. There is a ..
major.. difference between being holy and doing holy. Holiness is part of my nature: its not that I am trying to be holy, or that someday I will be holy, it is that my nature is to be holy. My mind is holy because God is holy.
1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;
2. Holiness is not an option, it is the will of God.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 It is God’s will that young should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.
3. Holiness is nothing but a decision to trust the grace of God.
4. Holiness can ONLY be received by faith.
Acts 26:18: to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ It is by faith that I live.
Sin takes your eyes off of God and puts it on you. Instead of having a God-conscience we end up having a self-conscience.
5. Holiness starts in the mind
Is 26:3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
Holiness begins in the battle of your mind.
What is God calling for?
God is calling for virgins, a virgin generation, a generation that will not lay down with another man. But if you have already lost your virginity, you are still holy by faith. In Christ we are cleansed from all sins and forgiven. It is time to raise a new standard!
“I don’t care how many hop reports, how many souls you won, how precise your prophetic word is. What i wonder is are you holy?” Pastor said.
By this time Pastor Andy was preaching a fit and nothing could hold him back. He said, “God is not just calling this generation to be holy sexually but God is calling us to be holy from doubt, from pride, from fear, and other things.”
Pastor Andy released a prophecy that if today you make the decision to live holy for God that your kids will go to the altar clean when they get married.
There are 5 weapons for living holy:
Weapon of persevearance
Weapon of faith rev 12:3
Weapon of the blood of Jesus
Weapon of the word of God
Weapon of death
Rev 12:11They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
Pastor Andy then stated some characteristics of holiness. He went back to Isaiah 6
Holiness comes through death. God will never take you to another level until he kills that area of your life. Die to your gifts to serve the local church.
Holiness opens your eyes to see the King of Glory. Why haven’t you been able to see God? Because our mind is cluttered with filth.
Holiness fills your life with the glory of God.
Holiness reveals the secret sins in your life.
Closing with fire
By the time pastor Andy finished his preaching, the fire for holiness was burning in the thousands of youth present. The young people began to cry out for holiness. Soon the altar was filled with youth and young adults crying, shaking, and experiencing the fire of God and conviction to live holy. Pastor Andy called out healings of crooked bones and declared gold would appear in people’s bibles. People from all over ran to the front to testify. One young man came up with a big piece of diamond that God’s glory manifested.
God manifested mightily in this service, but the consuming fire was still not over, God and Pastor Andy had one more suprise up their sleeve…
