Believing for that money!
Hebrews 11:1 Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Have you been worried about your finances? When seeing the stress in the faces of your loved ones do you wonder what’s going to happen? Have you been hearing words such as foreclosure, bankruptcy, poverty, words you never thought would affect you?
Afterwards you come to church and listen to a message about how much God loves you and how you must have faith and trust in God. But it’s hard because you are putting God's word against horrid reality. What do you do?
Let’s first look at the definition of Faith. Faith is believing what I can’t see in the physical and acting upon what I believe. This definition says it all! Though you can’t see it you still believe it and act upon it!
A lot of time we have a hard time trusting God with their finances because we put more priority and importance on money rather than God. Simply we trust money more than we trust God! So then when the economy goes down the drain our whole world goes into crisis.
We need to learn to live a lifestyle of faith, and have a mentality that says: if God said it, I believe it that settles it! Jesus taught his disciples on the importance of having child-like faith. A little kid doesn’t worry about absolutely anything, and they don’t struggle with doubt and unbelief.
Second is the power of sowing and reaping.
Galations 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
The Bible is very clear when it talks about sowing. Whatever you sow you will reap. When you give God a part of your money, you are saying that you trust Him.
Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
Ezekiel 34:26: “I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.
The last key to financial blessing is never to give up! Even if the answer does not come when or how you wanted it keep believing and persisting!
Galations 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
