Dear Shareholders,
Just a quick update on the recent goings-on in Pure Imagination Land . . .
I am currently in lovely Madison, Wisconsin, writing Season Four in the 80+ year old house in which I spent the first 18 years of my life . . . writing is going quite smoothly, episodes completed are "The Pride," "Johnny Appleseed," "A Series of Tactical Errors," "Hello Incoming Freshmen," and "Jokes Have I Known," and "The Aerodynamics of Absent Wings" is currently underway . . .
It is early in the morning now, and Al Green is singing quite soulfully on my sister's stereo. It feels all right. Tomorrow I help good friend and Pure Imagination actor Charley Krieger, who is Assistant Brewmaster at Madison's venerable J.T. Whitney's Pub & Brewery, serve beer at some benefit for the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin. My Dad recently spent the better part of a day filling a tiger cage with wine (really). This is how we roll in America's Dairyland . . .
Anyway, after my brief excursion to Circus World, it will be All Business for the next few weeks, writing more quality product for you, my Beloved Listeners. We'll be back on the air in October, but there will be more live shows at Sweat Records in Miami, probably in August or September . . . until then, be good. Tip your bartenders. Avoid trans-fats. And listen to Al Green sing "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart." On a not particularly good stereo system.
Love, Matt
