Hello everyone.... 

Just to let you know, I have been nominated in several categories including 1) "Best Acoustic Duo" with Kevin Mac.  2)  “Best Solo Acoustic Artist” 3) “Best Entertainer” (Solo Artist).   Please check it out.  A vote or two from you would be most appreciated.  

To be nominated, entertainers (bands as well as solo and duo artists) must be local artists who have performed the majority of their gigs during the period from 2/1/08 through 12/15/08 in the local area with at least one at an OUTDOOR event. 

There are numerous categories -- so please make it a priority to vote.  Voter registration -- and actual voting -- ends March 1.  Winners will be announced at Goodfellas (Hampton) during Open MIC on March 3.  Everyone is invited to the ceremonies. 

Here are the VOTING directions...

1.  If you have voted previously, no need to register again, unless you have changed your e-mail address in the past two years.  That means that you should have already received your ballot via e-mail from MEONA.  Directions are included in the e-mail.   If you didn't receive your ballot, contact Meona.net.

2.  If you have NOT voted previously, here's how it works: 

-- Click on the following link and follow the NEW VOTER REGISTRATION prompts to register.  www.meona.net/2008awards_process.html....

-- Please complete ALL fields and include your e-mail address.  It is also VERY, VERY important that you indicate how many outdoor events you attended during 2008.  The more the merrier (don't forget ...this award is about OUTDOOR events!) 

-- After you complete this step and click "submit" ...you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  The, shortly thereafter you will receive a registration number assigned to your e-mail address and the listing of all nominations.  Just following the instructions in the e-mail and vote for your favorites. 

While it might sound complicated, it's very simple.  (Register to vote via e-mail; receive your registration number via e-mail, and, using that registration number, vote for your favorites.)  That's it. 

However, registration fails IF…

-- There is more than one BALLOT sent per registration number

-- ZIP CODE not within 100 miles of ....Hampton.., ..VA....

-- NO outdoor events attended in 2008

-- NO valid e-mail address provided

-- Attempts of register more than once with the same IP address, e-mail address or name.
