Hello,

In the past years my Grandmother Betty has undergone surgery for breast cancer, which involved having both of her breasts removed, in order to cure herself & have a chance at surviving.

Recently, my Great Grandmother Opal Roberts, age 100, was found to have breast cancer that is untreatable due to her age & the rapid spreading of it.

I am very close with both of my grandmothers. I remember when I was young, I used to walk to their house everyday after school, & Grandma Opal would make me her home made cinnamon apples, & we would sit & talk all afternoon till my dad came to pick me up. And Grandma Betty would watch me when my folks were out of town, & we would watch soap operas together & take her dog Toby, who recently passed away, out on walks around the bock.They moved to Arizona about 5 years ago, & I haven't been able to go out & visit them as much as I would like to.

In honor of both of my Grandmothers, one being a survivor, and one who cannot pursue treatment due to the tumor being inoperable, I am setting up a little fundraiser for breast cancer research & awareness.

Every $1 you donate, will get you a raffle ticket for a fun little contest. Your name will be entered into a drawing to choose my next tattoo, all of which will come out of my own pocket.

The winner of the drawing will be announced January 1st, 2010.
