Buffalo Bar II went, you'll be pleased (perhaps rapturous) to know, exceedingly well. So begins this blog post with a reassuring nod and reference in un-characteristically swift fashion to my main point; Buffalo Bar III!
We're currently thinking up the best ways to get people that have come to the past two gigs to come back, as well as attracting newcomers. I say this because not only is the third gig an especially important one for us, but the discrepancy between the 'attending' on the facebook events page and such and the actual turnout is a constant source of mild bemusement for us.
People profess to care about the underground, the up-and-coming scene, but ultimately apathy takes many casualties in the war against mediocre. We want to ease your pain by offering a few incentives (namely shit being cheaper...) to make sure those of you have enjoyed one of our gigs in the past come right on back to enjoy the next.
Much more importantly though, we're innovating in terms of what actually goes on at the gig! We've got this thing set up right...we want it to be a big hit. The Mixtape Monster is hungry for your mixtapes, and is happy to regurgitate one in return (whilst he is not sentient, the mixtape monster does actually exists, and this mix-tape swapping malarkey most definitely occurs) and ALSO ALSO ALSO..
We've started inviting artists to draw LIVE at the gig, and then raffle off the art work at the end, myself and Sexy Will acting as we do as comperes! It's delicious and we want to do it more, more artists, more art, more awesomerad. We need your help to make it work though.
Weeeell that's probably quite enough of that. Hit up the fourum thread to make your own suggestions pertaining to the next gig, put your name down on the concession list fourum thread (which I am very imminently to post) if you know you're coming and you want a cheaper ticket...and generally rock out with your figurative roosters out!
Many many peas and love to you all. Even if you DON'T come to the next gig. We're nice like that.
