Nearly nine months ago something spectacular happened. Despite the odds being stacked against her, my mom, Pamela E. Loza, won the Democratic Primary for the office of Judge in the 12th Suburban Sub-Circuit of Cook County, defeating even the party endorsed candidate.

My mom received an immense amount of grass roots support, and won over thousands of citizens with her nearly 30 years of experience and willingness to listen. Rather than throwing a bunch of money into TV ads and billboards, my mom did things the old fashioned way. She went out and met the people she hoped to serve, spending almost every weekend shaking hands at Farmers Markets and passing out literature at train stations. Over the weeks and months, the modest campaign headquarters that began in the basement of her law practice has grown... and grown. Certainly, people are taken by her relatability, but they also recognize her integrity and professionalism.

One week from today, voters will cast their ballots again. And again, I'm asking you to please help garner more of that awesome grass roots support.
