i'm here in minnesota visiting my sister and her family.  my parents and my stupid boyfriend will be arriving on wednesday so we can all celebrate our wonderful lives and show gratitude for the awesomeness we get to live every day (as well as eat too much and watch some football (i love this game!!!)).

in the meantime, i get to have some quality time with my nephews Logan, age 6, and Lennon, age 3.  my favorite quotes to date are the following:

my first night here, we were eating dessert after dinner.  it was a lovely layered chocolate torte with raspberry filling.  Lennon sees the layer of raspberry and exclaims, "it's red in the crack!"

if you didn't catch that one, your gutter clearly sits higher than mine.

the next night during dinner,  my brother-in-law was explaining to my sister that he had offered the boys extra video game playing time if they cleaned up their toys and that they had failed to do so.  my sister replied, "that's so strange.  usually they'll do anything for extra video game time...eat dirt...wipe each other's butts..."  to which Logan replied:

"not eat dirt!!!!"

hmm...maybe it's a good thing i just come around once a year :)

i still maintain i have the best family in the world.  friends, too.  we're all a little twisted and i love you all that much more for it!  spiral out...keep going...
