Ok, to start it all off I delivered my show poster to Pat's Pub and when I was dropping them off the manager of the hotel came up and took them from me.
What happened next, was he called and told the promoter that five bands was too much for Pat's, who then called to tell me that I had to take one band off of the bill or the show was a no go. Of course being the pushy guy I am I did my best to push for the full show but to no avail. Since my groovy combo was supposed to open the night, I decided to take my band off the bill because I hated the idea of taking anyone else off the show.
I don't blame the promoters, because I've seen shows where two band bills have pushed the tight hotel bar curfews to the limit, so the idea of five bands seemed like a zoo.
That said, if you look at my other DUOFEST blogs you can see how amazingly a bunch of duos can cooperate and maximize the tunes.
ANYHOW, much thanks to all involved, especially...
Fireball, for not cancelling the show after I got all cranky,
JPMP jr., my fav band did the mini unplugged set which was sweeet!!
QUITE TESTY, marQo from Go Ghetto's tuneful side project.
TIGHT SOLID- all I have to say is, BURNSIDE!!!
HERMETIC- the new hotness

It was all over in plenty of time which was great, we could have crammed four more acts on there!! The turnover was so fast...like a third of a doob at most!!
hugs
