Dead Will Rise. These technical grindcore prodigies have offered us Rest Assured the End is Upon Us, the most promising debut Extended Play since Into the Moat's Means by Which the End is Justified. These boy-wonders use the release's 5 tracks to brandish their compelling capabilities of descending into mammoth breakdowns only to surge back up into dexterous and perforating improv segments. Keep an eye out for these grinders because they're only going to get better.

"Rest Assured The End Is Upon Us" is the name of Dead Will Rise's EP. It's as heavy as a MAC truck. The vocals are insanely guttural, but the music has a markedly metalcore edge. It does dip into death metal at times, but the amount of breakdowns and simple chug riffs on this record stand out moreso than their technical moments. However, don't take that the wrong way - this isn't Devourment we're talking about. The drums get pretty nuts at times and the guitars also have their flashes of critical technique as well. It's just not overdone for the sake of being flashy. This band would rather get into a groove and bowl you over with brutality. And there's not a damn thing wrong with that. "The Act Of Vanishing" shows this band's versatility. It has tons of breakdowns, but coupled with melodic metal parts and even a Southern fried groove part that would make Eyehategod or Soilent Green happy.
