The boy takes a deep breath…
The breath of exertion but never of depletion
His life is at a constant encounter with the pack of wolves
He has to stay alive in a world that has hidden rules
The boy sits in a room refreshing a cold drink
While indulging in the beauty from the top of the mountain peak
He ponders how much more painless it would be to jump than live with what lies here
The undisputed liberation of flying in the air for that one minute extinguishes the fear
The boy laughs at his inability to fall in line
How they believe he is crazy for his shine
If they could just see through his eyes they would have more, or maybe less, fear
In a world of nuts of course the nutcracker has to be queer
The boy chuckles…Why me?
The boy’s mind is never ceasing
Surely one can’t just say I am because I am full heartily believing
There has to be more that holds this foundation
Of a reason that defines the purpose of this sustained condemnation
The boy examines his glorious view & listens to the sounds of softness
Appreciating the fact that he revolves around silence, not the silence around us
The boy chuckles again while lightly shaking his head
He finishes the rest of his drink knowing in his heart that this thirst will never depart
The boy takes a deep breath… And soars
