Okay, if you've added Central Coast Ultimate Frisbee to your friends list and are interested in helping getting something going somewhere between Sydney and Newcastle, then I thought I'd start blogging to let you know where we are at and what our plans are.

I've been in touch with UFNSW regarding getting something going, and they are keen to have another club start up on the Central Coast.  They've put me in touch with one of the organisers of the annual Terrigal Towel who should be able to give us a bit of assistance, but I guess the first thing we need to do is to get somewhere to play.

I realise that years ago there was a club that played over at Ourimbah due to the fact that Ultimate Frisbee has strong roots in the university fraternity, but the problem was that the field was quite secluded over there.  I figure if you want to get something started that will attract heaps of members and will have a bit of longevity we really need to get it happening on a park with a fair bit of drive-by traffic and public exposure.

To that end, I've contacted both Gosford and Wyong Council and a school to ask about the following playing fields:

- The one across from Grahame Park on Dane Drive, Gosford
- Wyong Leagues Club, Kanwal
- Mingara Athletics Field, Killarney Vale
- EDSAAC, Bateau Bay
- Erina High School

If you can think of any more (such as Killarney Vale soccer field on Wyong Road next door to the school), then drop me a line and I'll ask the question.

If no such high-visibility fields are available, we'll have to start looking at more secluded parks like The Haven, Terrigal or Adcock Park, West Gosford.

Once we have a bit of an idea on where we can play, we'll move on to the next obstacle.

I'll be in touch!
