We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you to accompany students from your country to associated with the UNESCO DigiArts - Young Digital Creators Program (United Nations Education, Science & Culture Organization), Scenes and Sounds of My City online multimedia program. Your student has been chosen as a select Global Youth Ambassadors to participate, in-residence at San Jose State University, for the ZeroOne San Jose: A Global Art Festival on the Edge and the Thirteenth International Symposium of Electronic Arts, which will be held concurrently Aug 7 Ð 13, 2006 in San Jose, California.
Sponsored by Adobe Systems, Inc, Scenes and Sounds of My City engaged over 60 youth groups, worldwide. We are thrilled to extend this prestigious opportunity to you to represent your city and country in San Jose, California, USA. I cannot stress enough how important your participation as an accompanying adult of the Global Youth Ambassador program is to the success of this international event. ISEA2006 will inaugurate ZeroOne San Jose, a permanent international biennale in San Jose and Silicon Valley that is the largest event of it kind in North America, making accessible exhibits, projects and performances of approximately 150+ of the most innovative contemporary artists in the world. A specific objective of ZeroOne San Jose/ISEA2006 is to focus on enabling sustainable cultural relationships. To that end each of the Global Youth Ambassadors is a central figure in the future of the field of new media art and culture. Your participation in our program is deemed essential. I respectfully request that your Tourist VISA application be reviewed with urgency and favorably, upon submitting your application.
Please book your air travel in conjunction with your youthÍs ticket (youth ticket sponsored by Zero One San Jose and begin determined this week upon completion of the student tourinst visa & the info will be shared with as soon as possible) and inform me if youÍd like to stay in the San Jose State University dormitory near your student, and I will get you the application. Your housing cost is approximately $65 per night at SJSU dorms. You are welcome to eat meals alongside the youth, but you will need to plan to pay for your meal. You are also invited to attend VIP Festival events, along with the Global Youth Ambassadors, and other activities. Under separate cover, you will receive full program details.
We all look forward to meeting you and celebrating all Global Youth Ambassadors at a special program screening and reception on Sun, Aug 13, 2006 at the City of San Jose Convention CenterÍs Park Side Hall.
