Dont’ you just love how alot of the best profile pictures of people happen to have an extra arm, shoulder or some other body part included? Well, they’ve been cut out. Cut out of history. Kind of like in the first Back to the Future(one of my all time favorites) when he kept looking at his family photo and they were slowly disappearing. Now granted that type of editing was far more mystical and advanced dealing with times continuity being tampered with and all but this is getting serious. I mean, half of the people’s profiles that I come across on a daily have some unsuspecting person who was just as excited about being in the picture as the "main" person. What about them? How would it feel to be that person? Commenting on your friends profile like "Hey so and so, that picture of you looks great..." and then thinking "wait a second, that shoulder and half of a t-shirt is me!!". I mean I understand if the picture represents a time frame in which poor decision making led one to get involved with a knucklehead whose only positive afterthought comes from a picture that he or she made you look good in. Perhaps in the future, considering the advent of all of these valuable social networking sites, we consider profile pics when out and about looking good. Either take an extra pic totally by yourself after you "capture the moment" with your signifigant other/good friend/random stranger or....just have that nameless person of the future stand a little further away from you in order to compensate for a good crop later on...lol. I find myself weary to see pictures of people I know or exes(not that I have a lot of the latter) because I don’t want to be let down and see a pic that I felt I added presence to without me. If this is you, and you fervently find yourself getting the best look with someone else..make sure they look good too or...try some of the above suggestions.

Just writing...

I'm completely guilty of this. lol. And you make a good point, but it seems whenever I pose alone for a photo I'm not relaxed and end up looking "posed", therefore I need someone else in the photo to make me take a better picture. I will apologize now all those people I have cropped out of photos in the past, and well...to those that I know I will do so to in the future. heh heh.

I'm such a serial cropper it's ridiculous .....HOWEVER I always post the original picture as well if that makes it any better.
