unfortunately, i do not have a concert update at this time and i'm sorry. during martin luther king jr.'s birthday weekend my dad crashed on his dirt bike and broke both his wrists...BOTH of them. that means he has no hands. no hands to do ANYTHING. he was in the hospital for over a week, having various surgeries to get plates and pins set in his wrists just right so that when his injuries heal he can use his hands. he's home now, slowly recovering from his accident. it's going to be a good 6 months till his wrists are healed...and it's doubtful he'll ever have full usage of his hands again. needless to say, he's given up his motorcycle racing career. he'll just be focusing on my nephew tadd's racing.
anyways...i'm sure a bunch of you are saying "well how does your dad's motorcycle accident effect you gnatty?" it effects me because my dad and i run the family business together. over the last 3 weeks while he's been out, i've been running the business all by my one-sies and it isn't an easy task (we have a machine shop where we make custom parts for harleys and dirt bikes; you can see some of the stuff i make by click this
link). i've been coming home exhausted many nights and coffee has become my best friend again. today is the first time i've been able to sit down and go through messages, event invites and friend requests in a long time. however this is not going to be a permanant situation. i'm hoping to get back into "concert surfing" by the end of the month...so don't write me off just yet!
