I've got those post-anything-good blues. I'm bored. Sitting about trying to pass time doing anything, but have inevitably resorted to sitting semi-naked on the couch, browsing sickipedia.org and eating poor, half-heartedly sculpted sandwiches with no butter because I'm too blue to spread. Now that T's over, it's a big long passage of nothingness until Christmas and it seems unbearable.
One thing has raised a smile on my face today, and that is the passage of kind words courtesy of Nick Mitchell, posted on the Scotsman website......
"T Break Stage, Saturday, 9.10pm
After
only a year in existence, Trapped in Kansas are headlining the T Break
stage. That's no small feat, but could the West Coast band back up
their billing? At least they don't seem nervous, cheekily announcing
themselves as The Killers.
Aside from a few sound problems early
on, the aplomb with which they take such complex musical wares to the
live table casts any doubt aside.
An enthusiastically vocal
crowd – most of whom seem to be cheering on guitarist Gregor –
obviously appreciate their brand of yearning, icily melodic post-rock,
and by the end of set-closer 'The Idiot' they have grown into their
headliner status, delivering a set that turns out to be much more
killer than filler."

What a nice man he is.
Mark Robertson also provided this on the list website -
"Long lost US underground alt.rock outfit Rodan are the spiritual godfathers of T Break
quintet (read quartet)
Trapped in Kansas
(●●●) who bring an ear opening set to a white hot, molten climax with
their own brand of post-rock growl. Bigger stage next year for these
chaps please."

You too, Mark, are a very nice man. (even if you can't count

)
On the whole, T was a very worthwhile experience for all of us! I'll be adding some nice wee photos later on when I get my auld auld fashioned disposable back from ASDA.
But for now, back to my self-mourning for the weekend now lost in my memory. Goodbye TITP 2009, gone but not forgotten, you have gone to a better place............

Hopefully see you all soon,
Geg
