Charles Gibson scored the big one, an interview with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. The interview was an exclusive. Her first time speaking with the press that wasn't a prepared statement.  The thinking public would now have a chance to hear what this lady knows or believes. We could get a chance to hear what we could expect if she were in the oval office. Only one exchange in the whole interview was worth hearing and Gibson did not pursue it. Here is that exchange.

Gibson : Let's start because we are near Russia, let's start with Russia, Russia and Georgia. The administration said we should maintain the territorial integrity of Georgia. Do you believe the United States should try to restore Georgian sovereignty over So. Osettia and Abkhazia?

Palin: First off, we are going to continue good relations with Saakashvili. I was able to speak with him the other day and give him my commitment to him as John McCain's running mate that we will be committed to Georgia. And we got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure to invading a smaller democratic country unprovoked is unacceptable. We have to ...

Gibson: You believe unprovoked?

Palin: I do believe unprovoked and we have to keep our eye on Russia and the leadership there.

Gibson: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last few weeks, does the proximity give you?

Palin: They are our next door neighbors. You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.

Gibson: Are you in favor of putting the Ukraine and Georgia into NATO?

Palin: The Ukraine definition yes yes and Georgia. Putin thinks otherwise, obvisously.

Gibson: Under the NATO treaty, wouldn't we have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?

Palin: Perhaps so, that is the agreement that if you are a Nato ally, if another country is attacked, you are going to be called upon and help.

Gibson, then moved the topic to Iran and Israel. He probably not knowing that it is all related.

Let's now give the real facts of this situation.  This situation is much like the link from 9/11 and Iraq. The administration used 9/11 as a distraction to justify their attempt to control the world's oil supply. The general public was in a state of shock. We were consumed with fear of another attack constantly. The threat level was used as tool to keep the public off the issues of whether Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 or were a threat for nuclear attack. A fearful public jumped behind the war build up. We gave the administration a free pass to do anything to alleviate the fear.  The press was partners in it.

We now, know that Rumsfeld talked of bombing Iraq hours after the 9/11 attacks. We know that Iraq had nothing close to being a threat to even it's closest neighbors. Any digging into the intelligence community would have given, at the very least, a reason for more digging.

We are in the mist of a major build up to another war for oil and the press is in on it. Georgia geographically is a major strategic piece for this country ambitions  to control the oil supply. Turkmenistan and Kazahstan are the new frontier for oil production.

There is a mad scramble to control it. This oil was formerly under Soviet control, now it's up for grabs. There are three or four options for the oil to be transported, to the north through Russia, to the south through Iran, to the southeast through Afghanistan, hint, or west through Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Let's talk about Palin's description of Georgia as a democratic country.  The first principle of democracy is free press. I think we would all agree on that. Reporters Without Borders reported in November of '07  that Saakashvili shut down the opposition press after it showed footage of security forces violently beating down protests. Georgian Special forces shut down a privately owned station on live TV, leaving only the state station GPB as the only form of news. This ban stayed in place for five months, long enough to get Saakashvili to be re-elected. Maybe, Palin believes that is democracy since she tried to ban books in the Wasilla's library.

What is Palin description of unprovoked? Does she think Saakashvili was at his version of the Crawford ranch and the Russians just started bombing?  I am not a Russian apologists by any stretch of the imagination. Saakashvili bombed So. Ossettia on August 7th killing a reported 1400 people. So. Ossettia is a region that has voted to be independent of Georgia with a 90% affirmative vote.  Russia was ready and more than willing to respond. Gibson follow up question was "You believe unprovoked" Palin replied "I believe unprovoked" No detail, no explanation, nothing. Gibson asked what insight she had about Russia, she said you actually can see Russia from Alaska. America is lucky to have a possible president who can actually see Russia from her home state.

Now, you might ask why we care about a country that shut down their press.  Saddam Hussein bombed the Kurds in northern Iraq. It was part of the media blitz on Husein to demonize him.  Can you see anything substantially different in Saakashvilli. Maybe, we care because the US has funded, with major help from Israel, the entire military of Georgia. You might ask yourself why is Israel giving to another country aid when we give them up to $5 billion a year in welfare?

Still, you might be asking why do we care? It is the pipeline that's runs through Azerbaijan through Georgia into Turkey? In Turkey, it then feeds all of western Europe. It also, heads to the Mediterranean Sea to feed Israel. It pumps up to 1 billion barrels a day. Do the math at $104 a barrel. Then you start to realize why all the hubris of all parties involved.

We can also talk about John McCain and his new campaign of change.  His foreign policy adviser is employed by the Georgian government. The Washington post reported on August 13th, "Sen. John McCain's top foreign policy adviser prepped his boss for an April 17 phone call with the president of Georgia and then helped the presumptive Republican presidential nominee prepare a strong statement of support for the fledgling republic. The day of the call, a lobbying firm partly owned by the adviser, Randy Scheunemann, signed a $200,000 contract to continue providing strategic advice to the Georgian government in Washington." What did he tell Saahashvili to do?

Condoleezza Rice took an official trip to Georgia on July 8th, 2008. She claims that she told Saakashvili not to provoke Russia.

Cheney's aide was in Georgia days before the war. Cheney own statement says he was there to meet the defense secretary of Georgia:

Mr. Joseph R. Wood, Vice President Dick Cheney's Deputy Assistant for National Security Affairs pays an official visit to Georgia. A four-member delegation of the United States of America led by Joseph R. Wood accompanied by the U.S. Ambassador visited the Ministry of Defense of Georgia today. Delegation members were received by the Minister of Defense of Georgia David Kezerashvili and Chief of Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces Col. Zaza Gogava.

Cheney then, made his own trip to Georgia and Azerbaijan during the RNC, which was not covered at all.  He gave $1 billion in aid.

This was after Joe Biden made his own visit and recommended the $1billion gift.

All this to a country who shut down the press, brutally beat down civil protest with American equipment and defies Secretary of State Rice and bombs it's own people. Now, we are at risk for another country's actions. Or did the administration provoke this as an excuse for war?

Now, Russia is working on it's plan to send a nuclear warship to Venezuela. Venezuela and Bolivia has sent American diplomats home, usually seen as an act of aggression. Now, go back and watch those pre-approved soft ball questions of Palin with no follow ups. Then, ask yourself," if middlefingermedia.net could put this together, why can't Gibson and his Disney funded staff put it together?  Then, ask yourself why you haven't heard the oil angle at all? If you have, then congratulations, you are part of the less than 1% of Americans who do their own research.

Where as I see all the troop movement as just a chess move. I would say that it's time to blow the horn and get our troops home now. I also believe that our foes around the world are just itching to get boots on the ground here. When I say foes I mean the Elite that control the military around the world. They have seen that the spirit of America is gone. What better time to act. Most of our troops are out of the country. The economy is gone. LOL, I also think that more people need to start thinking alot differently. We have always looked at russia as our enemy. We need to realize that it is all a big game. The elite in power no matter what country your from support other elites in power. They make deals and the people of all these countries are left out of the meetings. It was no big surprise to me when I saw the world get behind the Ron Paul revolution last year. They all heard what he was saying and said to themselves this is a man for the people. We are going to have to stand and fight sooner or later. They have brought this country to it's knees. They now own almost all of our homes and land and have destroyed our infrastructure and our money our communications our spirit. What I pray for the most is that the majority of our armed forces are not falling for it and still fight for the people and not the NWO. If not then we are in for something that we have not seen in our lifetimes here on American soil. Great post and keep up the fight.
