Well, I have been getting much better at recording. I've resolved some technical issues in the recording process, namely sound quality. The latest song I've written/recorded was Winter Walk, which can be found on my "Erik Vincent's Project" Myspace. It has a hard rock/classic metal feel to it. I've adjusted my drum sounds pretty well, got a good think guitar sound (Thanks to David and Bulb for their Djenty presets, and David's Nuendo tutorials), and got the bass rumbling right. The mistakes I made on Bass was I was using a guitar track and simply pitch shifting it down to a bass. It sounded ok, but when I grabbed my 5-String bass, it just sounded way better. I've doubled my rhythm tracks, one for left channel and one for right. Both are different recordings, because cloning the track was just adding volume, not thickness of sound. My lead-work is getting better, and the sound setup I have for that is nice (Thanks to Orange Amps).
I just got a copy of Superior Drummer 2.0 and am installing it now. This should be a large jump from EZDrummer. We'll see. Please check out some of my tunes here: http://www.myspace.com/bushidovprojects
