Hello Shamz!  This is an action packed update, with several new developments taking place on the business end, as well as maybe one or two new artists added to the talent roster…

NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH FRESH PRESS MEDIA:

But first things first: Shaman Work is proud to announce a partnership with Fresh Press Media, co-founded by Andrew Pitre and James O'Connor.  Fresh Press Media will take over press and radio duties for SW, which is a huge step for the label in terms of marketing and visibility in the industry.  Says SW COO Lamar Gilliam, "Ending 2006, Shaman Work's number one goal was to find a better way to promote its artists and releases through consistent PR and radio campaigns.  This partnership with Fresh Press puts us in a great position to accomplish that goal.  Mr. Pitre and Mr. O'Connor provide an excellent combination of industry knowledge and professional desire that will greatly expand the names of Fresh Press Media and Shaman Work Recordings in 2007 and beyond."

Co-founders of Fresh Press, Andrew Pitre and James O'Connor have also issued a statement, saying, "Fresh Press feels honored to have the opportunity to work with a team of such dedicated and forward thinking individuals.  With Shaman Work's track record of past releases and current stable of incredible talent, we are excited to be a part of the Shaman family moving forward into the future."

Did you read all of that?  That is a whole lot of love in the air.  This is an exciting partnership for both companies, as Shaman Work takes another big step forward to taking over the world!!!

The newest issue of THE SHAMAN BLAST:

That's right, your favorite magazine's favorite magazine is back in action.  Yes, yes, it took a while since the last issue, but don't worry, these issues will come out much more regular from here on out.  We just had to work out some little kinks but now that we've got it figured out, it's on.  Watch out Ozone, Elemental, Fader, Sports Illustrated, The Economist; Shaman Blast is about to take over your block.  This issue features hard hitting interviews with Wale Oyejide, Scienz of Life, Shaman Work COO Lamar Gilliam, and Mr. Lif, as well as an editorial about going to visit Chris Craft and 2-Tone in DC.  There hasn't been this much fire in one place since cavemen gathered around and started rubbing sticks together.  You can get to the magazine from the front page of the website, or just click on the following link:

E.A. FLOE UPDATE:

A big congratulations goes out to E.A. Floe for being the runner up in the "Songwriter Song of the Year" award.  Judges for this contest include Jon Bon Jovi and Norah Jones.  He took second place on the strength of "The Righteous Way to Go" and "Someday."  Last year, he won an honorable mention in the same contest.  This year, he took second.  At this rate, Floe will be the reigning champion of this event for the next five years.  Check out the link below:
