Current mood: blessed
It's been a very busy month at the mission w/many blessings.
We had a massive group of State Farm folks come paint our dorm floors for five hours one day. The same day Madbean Painting volunteered to paint scripture on the walls of the shelter.
This week, Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson stopped by for a tour and to share her opinion regarding the Consumer Product Safety Information Act and how it could adversely affect our Mission Mart thrift store.
Some not so great things that have happened was a major water pipe break at our transitional housing unit that did major damage. We also received a whopper of a gas bill for our warehouse and a big fat estimate to upgrade the security system at the shelter-finally after years of limping by, we must upgrade the system.
Nevertheless, our faith is strong and we know He will provide for all our needs, just as He has for the last 91 years!
