A message from the captain:

Flugtag friends,

We are closing in on the big day. We have still some work to do in order to make everything originally envisioned a reality, but in another evening we should be all but done.

The pilot and I spent another night getting some finishing details knocked out after work with a couple of cold beers. We had a mock assembly of our flying Cuban and it was quite a site to behold.

I want to personally invite you all to a couple of pre-launch parties to come out and meet and mingle with your soon-to-be champion flugtag-ers.

The first chance is going to coincide with our Creative Loafing Beer Club event - this Thursday (July 17th) at Yeoman's Pub on Davis Island from 7-9pm. This is open to the public and it is a free event. There will be free beer samples to enjoy as well!

The second chance is a little more intimate and also has beer! Friday, July 18th from 7-9pm, Vintage Wine Cellars in South Tampa is hosting a Red, White, and Brew beer tasting. The event is open to the public, but there is a $10 charge (Vintage's usual charge for their tastings - and it is one of the best deals in town! Support your local wine shop!)

Hopefully we will see you at one of these pre-launch parties. Please come by and introduce yourselves.

In regards to the day of the event, our team number is 3 (three) so I think we will be one of the first few to make the journey off the flight deck. The first flight is scheduled to start at 1pm. There will be a hanger near the flight deck where we will be staging our craft and we welcome you to come by before our flight to wish us luck, take a picture, or smuggle us contraband. We will be there around 10am.
