Dear SKUNK ARMY!
Minor disasters aside (drum tech Si decided not to be on the tour, my new drumkit not arriving in time from Japan, checking in early today without the band and getting charged £84 for being 6 kilos overweight while the band got away with excess baggage the equivalent weight of a baby elephant) and forgetting to send my mums birthday pressie for yesterday), all is well in Skunksville.
All high class problems my dear Skunkiez. The production rehearsals went well and we honed in on a few parts of the set to make it run a little smoother.
We are en route to Lisbon as I write for the first date of the Smashes and Trashes European Tour. So excited! We have a fab light show and amazing soundsystem with fantastic crew to work it all, the all important catering and most impotantly of all... you! Incredible how after all this time you are still there and were waiting for us, waiting to pounce upon the slightest bit of news that we were back. Not only are you guys still there from before but we have battalions of new recruits to the Skunk Army, that were too young to see us first time around! Welcome. Enjoy the ride. I know we will.
You were fuckin awesome. We just cannot believe the reception. It's humbling to be witnessing so much love for us after so long. Amazing in every way Portugal.
Thanks Mxx
