I have always loved all types of music and I was always browsing the Music section. I would find artists I liked. Some I had heard of, others were new to me. If I made a MySpace page with all the artists I enjoyed I concluded I could be kept up to date on new songs, albums, videos and show dates. Very selfish of me right? I especially like watching American Idol to find new talent.
I live vicariously through these artists since as much as I wish I could I can't sing. I can't remember lyrics and could never get up on a stage in front of people. How I envy and admire all these artists. Years ago there was a show called the "Ed Sullivan Show" who would bring new talent to be recognized.(hmmmm I might just be older than dirt LOL!) This wasn't a talent contest just new talent like Elvis to the Beatles being introduced to America on the Ed Sullivan's show. American Idol, America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent The XFactor etc. are the "Ed Sullivan" of today I guess with the twist of being judged. Some new artists I have been fortunate in finding while browsing You Tube. What did we do before the internet???
I am not young in age but I am in heart. I love some oldies but mostly the new music I gravitate towards. I LOVE Josh Groban and I LOVE Daughtry. I LOVE Celine Dion and I LOVE Keith Urban. I LOVE Broadway songs and I LOVE Bon Jovi . I LOVE Creed and I LOVE Celtic Women. I LOVE Usher and I LOVE Miley Cyrus. I LOVE Pink and I LOVE Rascal Flatts. I LOVE Jason Castro, I LOVE David Archuleta, I LOVE Carly Smithson, I LOVE Brooke White and Adam Lambert...I could go on and on and on. The message is I love variety.
As you can see I don't just like one type of music. In fact I find it sad when some people don't allow themselves to go beyond one genre. It's like only tasting one flavor of ice cream - plain vanilla! If there was one thing about some music I don't enjoy it is dirty lyrics...not a fan at all.I don't mind sexual tones but using vulgar words just aren't my thing. I like the positive musical lyrics myself.
Tell me what you like and why
