Who Gives Kudos:

July 18, 2008 - Friday

Tone Knob:  Wait…there isn't one!  Why?

1.        Tone knobs bleed output

2.       Tone knobs bleed high end (picking techniques and harmonics that make each note sound full and unique are transmitted in the highest frequency band – it's important!)

3.       Good Guitars register more nuances in your unique playing technique

4.       One less thing to distract you

Flat Mounted String-through Bridge:

1.        Provides the most surface area connecting to the body for the best resonance transfer

2.       Produces heavy duty low end, complex sustain and overtone that reflects the sound of the wood

3.       One of the easiest bridges to maintain

4.       Steel saddles for durability and great high end response

5.       Wide bridge spacing (2  1/8") for advanced techniques such as hybrid picking

High Output Blade Humbucker

1.        Maximizes harmonics with more nuance to notes picked at different places along the string

2.       Provides more tonal control with your hands

3.       Flat blade design prevents grounding out against the string (for heavy palm muting)

4.       Blade pole pieces signal drop when bending

5.       Plenty of signal for chunky power chords, even in coil tap mode

6.       One pickup reduces tone-wrecking string pull and interference with your picking

Reverse Headstock

1.        Facilitates bends on high strings (less string behind the nut to stretch)

2.       Low strings have more slack so they stay in tune through fluctuations in fretting and picking

3.       Attention-getting design

4.       Bottom line:  chords are in tune, bends are smooth and precise and you look cool

5.       Angled headstock gives excellent tension across the nut without a string tree

Graphite Nut

1.        Self-lubricating to minimize tuning snags

2.       More streamlined maintenance (give your guitar tech a break!)

3.       Wide string spacing (1 11/16") to minimize string noise for advanced techniques such as tapping

4.       Simplifies fretting for beginners

25.5" Scale Length

Great for dropped tunings with tight attack.  At standard pitch, it's snappy and bell-like, never flabby.  Notes pop and cut through the mix.  You can always roll off high end from your rig, but once you lose those harmonics, you can't get them back.  A mushy sounding guitar with three pickups is going to sound like a rubber band on every pickup, through every amp.  The Good Triton gives you more from every note in every component and design decision.

Fingerboard:

1.        Maple for extremely bright tone

2.       13 ½" radius so bends don't "fret out," while providing a smooth feel

3.       No fret markers showcases your technique while keeping your moves mysterious from copycats (don't worry – the side dots are still there)

4.       Monochromatic  painted styling silhouettes your fingers and guarantees attention

This and That:

1.        Factory strap locks

2.       Sculpted neck joint, comfort cuts and beveled body edges for maximum comfort

3.       USA set-up  action, relief, nut height, intonation, and pickup height

4.       Attention-grabbing truss rod cover

5.       Stage –ready, right out of the box
