"Actions and motives, bear the cross - wear the crown, There's just some evil you can't bleed out".
Never so true are the words of the latest single from 10 Years, "Actions & Motives". Things we do in life (the actions) have something behind them (the motive).
All of us are guilty of doing something that went against what we believed. Though, in that time of the action - they tried not to question themself - they try not to think about their morals and how it goes against it - they try to justify the means to the end. Guilty are we all. This is not a blog to say or place blame on anyone or anything. This is not a blog to point out a flaw someone has or created.
This is just simply an overview of life. I'll admit it, I've done things I am not proud of. Some more recent, some over the course of my 25 years on this planet. Some I have admitted to, some no one ever found out about. This makes up humanity, it's a part of us, our nature - no matter how ugly this side is and how we may try to avoid it... it's there.
Some people can be seen as a shark - doing whatever it takes to get what they want. The shark, as I refer to it, thinks nothing of the future but the present... i.e. taking what they want. When the future and reaction to the actions come about - well that's when "**it hits the fan".
Recently I've seen this... though the means did not justify the end... a second guessing wasn't made for whatever reason - and the reason can't justified. Proud are those who partook in this? I beg to think not, but who am I to put words in their mouth.
It's hard to sit here and look back on this certain instance. Questions were raised but never answered. Actions were taken, but the motive was never a good one. Some of those involved I am sure feel ashamed... and a "I'm Sorry" needs to be made.. would that be enough though? Someone got hurt in the end, was it those that created the problem? Only time will tell... The burden to bare...
"Wait, the fact you did it - And don't admit it won't make you innocent." - 10 Years
