Current mood:  loved

Hello to anyone who might read this. It has been a while since I have written and I apologize. Things here in the big city have been hectic and crazy and wonderful. I am truly a big(ger) city kind of soul.... this is true.

One thing about living here is that there is an abundance of things to do and little time to accomplish it all. Planning out an event calendar is crucial. (i recommend using google calendar... it does a fine job) First, you must list everything you want to accomplish. Second, you try to prioritize these things and decide what is actually feasible with your life's schedule. And last, you spend most of your money on gas and concert tickets... thus, leaving you overwhelmingly pleased, exhausted, and less-rich than before.

That said, I have been to quite a few concerts since I've moved here. Probably would have been to many more had I not been on the night shift for a few months. The most notable, at the moment, would be the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Spoonfed Tribe.

Honestly, there are no real words to describe the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' concert. Initially I would say "the best concert I have ever been to" but I think it would be more appropriate to say "the best concert I have ever been a part of". I have come to realize that there are two types of concerts... some you watch and some you make. I mean, let's face it... a concert is only as good as the crowd involvement. If the crowd doesnt feed the performer, the performer doesn't feed the crowd. It's a delicious cycle. :)

The YYYs concert wasn't just on the stage, it was a full-room adrenaline rush (and sometimes an anxiety attack) that was fueled by a beautifully-bizarrrrrrrre Karen O.

After attending the concert, I came to the realization that I had never truly been to a concert before. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some incredible shows... but, never before had I felt the music as I did at the YYYs concert. (and no... I wasnt on drugs haha... although there is something about letting music take you over that gives off euphoric vibes.)

Speaking of euphoria... I finally found another chance to see The Spoodfed Tribe. (thanks melia)

I've have seen these guys a couple of times before, but it had been about 5 years since the last time. I had been keeping my eye on them... waiting for the perfect chance to see them again. Sadly, I had a hard time getting them to the top of said priority list.  But, finally.... last night was the night and they did not disappoint.

If anyone is reading this who hasn't had a chance to experience a Spoonfed Tribe show... go to their website www.spoonfedtribe.com or www.myspace.com/spoonfedtribe and keep your eyes on their tour calendar. I promise you won't regret it.... in fact, i guarantee that you won't be able to sit still. These guys have a way of moving you... both physically and emotionally. love, love, love it.

Well, I suppose that is enough for one blog. Trust me, I know what it's like to get that New Blog Subscription Post notification, only to click on it and realize that you didn't know what you were committing to. You are too tired to read it, yet your curiosity gets the best of you!

Behave yourselves....
