dj ian head presents: "pieces"
on root70lounge / everydaybeatsso i want to announce my latest project, a mostly-instrumental album titled "
pieces" being released digitally by
root70lounge, a label in japan. it's 20 tracks of beats from various parts of my life, made from stacks of records and life in nyc. there are a few dope guest emcees (and close friends), such as
khingz and
gabriel teodros (abyssian creole),
verbal math (dollabin),
omega jackson and
subtext.
the album is available now on
juno downloads and japanese itunes. i am also pressing limited edition cds (100) with original photos / artwork and liner notes.
along with the full album, over the next couple months i am releasing a
three-part series of digital singles that will include some of the tracks from the album plus remixes and bonus cuts. these singles will be available
for FREE but only for a LIMITED period of time. the first is available below, entitled "
the nyc series (pts 1-3)."
i know we live in an era of free mp3s, but
i hope you can take a second and support this project. all cds ordered will include original cd copies of past releases, such as subtext's "opening salvo" ep and the first dollabin ep.
